Business Fives Housing & Property heat shaping up
After the success of the summer edition, Business Fives, Scotland’s national business five-a-side tournament moves indoor for the winter ahead of Business Fours, the golf edition in spring.
The date for the Housing & Property heat once again in conjunction with the Scottish Property Federation and Scottish Housing News is taking place on 26th January at the SoccerWorld venue in Glasgow.
David Melhuish, director of the Scottish Property Federation, said: “We are pleased to once again be industry partners with Business Fives after the success of last year. Getting the chance to bring the property sector together while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle is fantastic. Given the companies already signed up for the event in Glasgow this month, we have no doubt that this will be another major success and a great opportunity for property businesses to raise their profile, support a great cause and have some competitive fun!”
For the indoor edition Business Fives will be supporting the work of Street Soccer Scotland with 10 per cent of proceeds going to the charity.
David Duke, CEO and Founder of Street Soccer Scotland, said: “Street Soccer Scotland are delighted to be given the opportunity to partner with Business Fives. The money raised from the heats and tournaments goes directly to help the work we do 365 days a year with some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged and socially excluded people. We provide weekly, free drop-in sessions in Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee. Working alongside Business Fives allows us to spread our message of achieving social change through sport. Good luck to all those competing!”
Kieran Findlay, editor at Scottish Housing News, added: “The chance to support a great tournament with an even better cause is something we could not pass up. We have long admired the work of Street Soccer Scotland and featured the charity on our annual Homeless Spotlight at the beginning of the year. We would encourage everyone in the sector to come along and show off their skills.”
