Cairn Housing Association celebrates new development in Longridge
Cairn Housing Association has completed its latest development in Longridge, West Lothian, providing 52 new affordable homes to the community.
The development consists of a mix of two-bedroom bungalows and two, three, and four-bedroom terraced houses.
An informal gathering was held at the new development to mark this important milestone.
The event brought together partners, members of the Cairn team, and local residents. Among those in attendance were Councillors Pauline Clark and Craig Meek, who came to show their support and meet some of the new tenants.
Audrey Simpson, CEO of Cairn, expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in the project, she said: “We are delighted to see this development come to fruition and to welcome our new tenants to their homes. This project is a testament to the power of partnership. We are incredibly thankful to our contractor, O’Brien, the employers agent, Brownriggs, and our clerk of works, Ross Quality Control, for their dedication to delivering such a high-quality development. We are also grateful to West Lothian Council and the Scottish Government for their vital funding and support.
“We know there is a significant need for affordable housing in Scotland, and we are committed to playing our part in addressing this challenge. Developments like this one in Longridge are essential in providing safe, comfortable, and affordable homes for people across the country.”
Several tenants joined the celebration and welcomed guests into their new homes, showcasing the quality and comfort of the properties. The gathering was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see the positive impact of the development first-hand.
This development is part of Cairn’s ongoing efforts to expand its portfolio of high-quality, affordable housing, ensuring more individuals and families have access to homes that meet their needs.
