Cairn Housing Association hands over keys to new homes in Aviemore
Cairn Housing Association has handed over keys to tenants at their latest new development in Aviemore.
The homes, which give a welcome boost of affordable rented housing in Highland, contribute towards the Scottish Government’s drive to deliver 110,000 affordable new homes by the end of 2032.
Developed with the support of the Scottish Government and the Highland Council, and in partnership with Highland Housing Alliance, the ten new homes were built to a high standard by Upland Development to meet the evolving needs of modern families. Situated on the outskirts of Aviemore, these houses boast beautiful views of the Cairngorms National Park.
Don Jamieson, chair of the Cairn Board, said: “We are delighted to see the Spey House development reach completion. There is a clear need for good quality, affordable rented homes and we are delighted to be able to meet that need.
“Cairn is all about great homes, great services and great people; and we are pleased to welcome tenants to their new homes and wish them years of happiness as Cairn tenants.
“Delivering this development has been a real team effort and my thanks go to the Scottish Government and the Highland Council for their continued support, the staff team at Cairn who managed the project, and to our partners Upland Development and Highland Housing Alliance.”
