Cairn Housing Group announces Audrey Simpson as new chief executive
Cairn Housing Group has confirmed the appointment of Audrey Simpson as its new chief executive.
Audrey is currently Scotland director for Home Group.
Angus Lamont, chair of Cairn, said: “The board is delighted to welcome Audrey Simpson to Cairn and she brings the leadership, business skills, ambition and customer focus that are so important to us. The recruitment attracted a very strong field of experienced candidates. We are looking forward to working with Audrey and the Executive Team to carry forward the achievements of Jason MacGilp after his successful service at Cairn.”
Audrey Simpson said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Cairn, and looking forward to working with them as we embark on this next chapter. It is an exciting time in terms of shaping Cairn’s future, as we focus on developing a new Business Plan, to support Board and customer ambitions and aspirations. I take over an organisation that is in great shape, thanks to the fantastic work of Jason MacGilp.

Until Audrey Simpson is in post in April, Ken Tudhope, Cairn’s finance & people services director, will be the interim CEO.
Jason MacGilp, the outgoing CEO, said: “This is a great appointment by the board and may I offer my congratulations to Audrey Simpson on her new role. After 12 years in the job, it is time for me to move on. It has been a real privilege leading the team here and working with the Boards on achieving our vision of great homes, great services, and great people.
