Cairn opens new garden for Jubilee House residents
Residents at Cairn Housing Association’s Jubilee House care home came together earlier this month to celebrate the opening of their new sensory garden.
Residents and their friends and family enjoyed an afternoon of live music, sweet treats and good fun as the garden - funded from the Cairn Community Fund and Edinburgh and Lothian’s Greenspace Trust - was opened to residents for the first time.
Doreen Murray, activities co-ordinator at Jubilee House, said: “It is a wonderful garden for the residents and their families and we would like to thank everyone who helped us.”
The association, based in Edinburgh, manages over 3,500 homes in Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow, Coatbridge, Wick and Thurso.
It works in partnership with the Scottish Government, local authorities, and others to create strong sustainable communities by improving access to and choice in affordable housing and services.
