Castle Rock Edinvar signs up to support Social Bite

A Scottish sandwich business with a social conscience, which has taken on the high street chains to compete in the lunchtime market, has become a catering supplier to Castle Rock Edinvar.
Social Bite, which has outlets in Glasgow and Edinburgh with plans to expand into Dundee and Aberdeen, donates business profits to good causes and is the brainchild of social entrepreneur Josh Littlejohn. It currently employs around 60 people, around a quarter of whom were previously homeless. Customers can opt to pay forward for food and drink for less fortunate people.
Social Bite menus are created by Michelin-starred chef Mike Mathieson. It recently launched a corporate catering division which already counts some of the country’s smartest businesses among its customers.
Castle Rock Edinvar said: “We are delighted to add our support and would urge others to consider doing so too.”
