Castlehill Housing Association raises £500 for Roxburghe House
Seventeen members of staff from Castlehill Housing Association raised a total of £500 on their 2015 sponsored walk at Loch Muick.
The day of the walk proved to be dry but windy and the group enjoyed an eight mile walk around the loch, which lies totally within the Balmoral estate, just south of Braemar & Ballater.
The Association’s chosen charity this year is the Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian, which supports a facility that provides palliative care in NHS Grampian.
The cheque was presented to Peter Clark, Honorary Treasurer of the Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian, who said: “The Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian undertake many roles for the benefit of patients. These encompass a highly diverse range of projects.
“Examples of expenditure in the last year include purchasing a new ECG machine, funding training courses for staff where funding was not available through the NHS and extending and landscaping the garden, in addition to many other activities. Your support will help us to continue our work and is very much appreciated.”
