Cater Group completes revamp of Aberdeen city centre apartment building
A newly refurbished apartment building at 173 Union Street in Aberdeen has been launched following completion by Cater Group.
The developer has transformed a once-derelict property into six flats, featuring a mix of one and two-bedroom layouts.
Cater said Union Residence offers affordable luxury living with a focus on convenience and comfort. Residents enjoy exclusive access to on-site amenities, including a gym and co-working spaces.
Thoughtful design elements are incorporated throughout, such as ample storage and motion-activated hallway lighting to promote energy efficiency. Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance the living experience for residents, the firm added.
Vivien Choi, assistant property manager at Cater Group, said: “This project is particularly meaningful to us as it contributes to the regeneration of Aberdeen’s Union Street. As someone born and raised in Aberdeen, I’m incredibly proud to be playing a part in revitalising our city’s main street. By revitalising this empty building, we hope to enhance the quality of life, boost the local economy, and contribute to a more sustainable future for Aberdeen.
“The property initially had major issues, including structural and water leakage issues, and has been abandoned perhaps at least 10-20 years. We’re a smaller company and we wanted to do our part in revitalising the city. We hope that Union Residence represents a significant investment in the city and serves as a model for future urban renewal projects.”
