CCG begins work on new Dundee homes
CCG has started work to deliver a new residential housing development in Dundee which will see bespoke smart technology used to enhance the care and support of its tenants.
‘Lochlee Wynd’ is the contractor’s latest private sale development located in the Glamis Road area of the city and will comprise 17 three and four bedroom homes that will be available through the Scottish Government backed Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme.
A hugely innovative block of six affordable flats managed by Blackwood will also sit within the site. The ‘Blackwood Concept House’ will reach three storeys and will integrate tenants like never before by introducing bespoke smart technology called ‘CleverClogs’ which will enhance the care and support for their tenants as well as offering greater levels of flexible living.
Features include energy saving measures such as solar PV panels installed on the roof.
Calum Murray, director of CCG (Scotland), said: “This is CCG’s first construction project in Dundee and one that we are very excited about as it further extends the reach of our business across Scotland. We have a strong track record in the delivery of private housing with recent developments in Glasgow and Edinburgh and we are confident that the homes on offer at ‘Lochlee Wynd’ will be in high demand.
“We also look forward to continuing our work with Blackwood over the coming months to deliver the hugely innovative ‘Concept House’ which will truly change the lives of their tenants.”
Work on the ‘Lochlee Wynd’ development is due to be complete in March 2017.
