CCG completes final stage of WSHA homes
The final phase of building works has been completed at a social housing development on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Cambuslang-based construction and manufacturing specialists CCG (Scotland) Ltd created 18 cottage flats and a car park at Calmachie for West of Scotland Housing Association. The new development is the tenth phase of construction in this area and the eighth that has been delivered by CCG.
The new cottage flats were created using off-site methods of construction and were delivered to a Silver Standard of energy efficiency thanks to CCG’s own enhanced timber frame system which was complete with CCG-manufactured internal doors, ensuring project completion within a 38 week programme.
Calum Murray, director of CCG (Scotland) Ltd, said: “We have a strong track record working with West of Scotland Housing Association and we are proud to be part of the transformation of Camlachie. Phase 10 is a highly sustainable and energy efficient development and one which the tenants of West of Scotland are sure to benefit from.”
Lynne Donnelly, chief executive of WSHA, added: “West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA) has worked in partnership with CCG for many years to deliver high-quality and energy efficient housing for our tenants. This latest development in Camlachie is a perfect example of this partnership and highlights the standard of homes being created to meet the needs of our tenants.
“Tenant feedback about their new homes has been very positive with everyone being pleased with the standard of finish and also the community spirit that is already being developed among neighbours.”
