CCG unveils state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cambuslang
The CCG Group has officially unveiled its brand-new, window and door manufacturing facility in Cambuslang.
The 25,000 sq ft facility forms part of a wider £6 million investment into the expansion of CCG’s ‘Manufacturing’ subsidiary which fabricates a range of enhanced window and door sets, and directly employs 60 skilled trade and technical staff.
CCG has been mainstream in the fabrication of window and door products since 1995; initially focused on timber window and door sets, a new PVCu window & door, and composite product range was introduced in 2020 through a strategic licensing agreement with REHAU UK.
These precision-engineered products cater to CCG’s construction projects and large-scale housing improvement programmes in collaboration with housing associations and local authorities across Scotland.
The growth of the PVCu offering has been exponential with the CAD/CAM interfaced manufacturing line now one of the most advanced in Scotland, achieving 11,500 units per annum.
Craig Smith, general manager of CCG Manufacturing, emphasised the company’s commitment to innovation: “This expansion underscores our dedication to investment and progress. With this facility, we are not only enhancing efficiency but also strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions to our clients.”
CCG recently made another upgrade to the factory floor with the introduction of a £300,000, state-of-the-art URBAN 8 Head horizontal welding machine, further optimising its capabilities and scope to increase output.
Stuart Glen, PVCu factory manager, praised the swift implementation: “In my 40 years in the industry, I have never seen such rapid progress in the production of PVCu window and door products. With the investment from our board, support from Scottish Enterprise, and our valued partner REHAU, we have elevated our product range and service standards.
“It is a proud moment for CCG and our dedicated team to unveil the factory and we look forward to a busy year ahead.”
Hormoz Nouri, area sales manager at REHAU, added: “Since signing our original licensing agreement with CCG back in 2020, I have watched their business grow into one of Scotland’s foremost PVCu fabricators.
“Naturally, making the move to a purpose-built manufacturing facility is the next step, which will allow CCG to bolster their fabrication capabilities even further.
“This is a fantastic development for both CCG and REHAU, and I look forward to seeing where our relationship takes us next.”
