Chance to win lunch with Leonardo DiCaprio and raise money for homelessness in one go
Homeless charity sandwich shop Social Bite has launched a competition to win a VIP lunch with Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Oscar-winning actor will take time out from his visit for the Scottish Business Awards on November 17 where he is this year’s keynote speaker.
Josh Littlejohn, who co-founded the Social Bite chain of cafes that employ local homeless people, said the money raised from the competition will go to Home, the new restaurant from the chain, with each £5 entry buying a meal for a homeless person in the capital.
The winner will be announced on November 11.
They will also receive an overnight stay for two with dinner at The George Hotel, first class travel within Scotland to Edinburgh and a £1,000 champagne and shopping experience.
Scottish Business Awards chairman Sir Tom Hunter said: “Leonardo is not only a famous actor, he is a pioneering environmentalist and committed philanthropist whose charitable work is making a global impact.
“To have him address our nation’s premier businesses and entrepreneurs is incredibly exciting.
“That the Scottish Business Awards is the largest awards dinner of its kind in the whole of the UK says a lot about the strength and ambition of Scotland’s entrepreneurial community.
“November 17 is set to be another very special night.”
Over £400,000 was raised when George Clooney made a similar visit to Edinburgh last year.
The winner will be selected and informed on Friday 11 November and participants must be available in Edinburgh on November 17.
