Charles Church homes relaunched in Scotland

Homebuilder Persimmon has announced its premium Charles Church brand is returning to Scotland, with the first site in three years set to open this autumn

Carnoustie will become the first location of Charles Church’s re-introduction to the Scottish housing market, with sales on the Greenside Gardens development due to begin this autumn.

Charles Church typically delivers large, high specification homes in premium locations and is tailored to local markets where there is a strong demand for the product.

Earlier this year, plans were approved by Angus Council for 46 Charles Church homes as part of a new phase of development at the Pitskelly Road site in Carnoustie. The properties have been specifically designed to complement the existing homes on the development, increase the variety on offer to Carnoustie families and meet the needs of the local housing market.

The new Charles Church homes will mean the wider Greenlaw Park site as a whole will offer a mix of properties ranging from 1-6 bedrooms. The site will also incorporate a focus on energy efficiency and the path to net zero. The new homes will include solar panels and electric car charging points to support new homeowners to cut their carbon and lower household bills.

Further Charles Church sites are set to follow across Scotland later this year. Work is already underway at Dargavel Village in Bishopton and work on a new site in West Kilbride is due to begin soon.

John Roocroft, Persimmon’s regional chair in Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to be re-introducing our Charles Church homes across Scotland this year, which is a demonstration of our commitment to the Scottish housing market.

“Alongside our existing high-quality homes, which continue to create affordable routes to home ownership for families across the country, our new Charles Church homes will ensure we offer something for everyone – from first-time buyers to growing families seeking more space.

“From Carnoustie to West Kilbride, having Charles Church back in Scotland will deliver more much-needed new homes and make our communities even more attractive places to live and work.”
