CIH charity golf tournament raises £4000 for Crisis
This year’s CIH Scotland charity golf tournament managed to raise £3975.69 for CIH President’s charity for 2016 Crisis.
Hosted by 2015 winners Rutherglen and Cambuslang Housing Association, and supported by headline sponsor Integrator Housing Solutions and a range of other supporters, the event took place at the Auchterarder Golf Club in Perthshire.
Teams from all over Scotland assembled for the annual Texas scramble tournament and the golf got underway under Stormy/wet conditions but thankfully subsided and it became a mostly dry day.
The battle for the CIH trophy was again a very close contest, with a winning margin of just 0.7 strokes, MCN LTD were crowned winners for the first time with Derek Murray, Ian McDonald, Ian Lenay and Gary Craney taking home the first prize.
Second placed team was ITFA, with third place going to hosts Rutherglen and Cambuslang HA.
Further prizes went to ‘nearest the pin’, one winner for each of the three handicap groups, and also ‘longest drives’ with another three winners and ‘team nearest the pin in two’.
The rounds were followed with High Tea and the winners were all presented with their prizes and medals on behalf of CIH Scotland by John McNulty and Stuart Freeland of R&CHA.
The fantastic sum raised for Crisis would not have been possible without support from all the sponsors, including: Integrator Housing Solutions, Baker Décor Ltd, CMBS Ltd, Torrance Roofing and Building Services Ltd, F3 Building Surveyors Ltd, Gold Seal Home Care Ltd, Ross & Laidlaw & Sons Ltd and HTM Building Services Engineers LTD.
