CIH Scotland to honour lifetime of achievement at Excellence Awards
CIH Scotland has announced that a lifetime achievement award will be included in its Excellence Awards in November.
The winner of the new category will be someone who has demonstrated true professionalism and has made a difference to the communities they have served. The lifetime achievement award is about recognising the achievement that someone has made throughout their career.
An applicant may be someone nearing to the end of their successful career or someone that is taking or already taken a step back away from the being a full-time housing professional.
Applications are encouraged from those working at all levels within the sector, where the individual can demonstrate ongoing improvement and outstanding achievement throughout their career in housing.
Commenting on this year’s awards, CIH Scotland director, Annie Mauger, said: “The Excellence Awards are a chance to recognise the work of our profession and the impact that housing professionals have in their local communities. As such we wanted to create a new category that recognises the work of an individual who has lived and breathed housing during their career.
“We are looking for someone who has contributed to the development of professionals in the sector, went ‘above and beyond’ to deliver in their role, demonstrated a passion for CIH, has a commitment to self-development and education and demonstrated professionalism and high standards in all they do.
“If you know of someone who has made a real difference to Scotland’s housing sector make sure you get involved and submit a nomination.”
The closing date for this award application is September 19 and the winners will be announced at a special awards dinner on Friday 2 November 2018 at the EICC in Edinburgh.
