But it’s not just all about the organisations as the award categories also celebrate the contribution of individuals to the sector.

There’s some brand new categories for 2016 that CIH Scotland has chosen to reflect the state of the housing nation. For the new categories it is calling for applications that demonstrate excellence in housing innovation, health and wellbeing, leadership, development for rented properties, and for a campaign of the year. The final new category recognises the contribution of a team of housing professionals. Last year the awards had a record-breaking number of applications, and with no slow down in the levels of excellence in housing, CIH Scotland is sure 2016 will go even further.

The deadline for applications is September 21, so start thinking about what you’d like to enter in Scottish housing’s foremost awards. The culmination of the process will be CIH Scotland’s awards dinner on Friday 11 November at the Glasgow City Hotel, Glasgow. The black-tie extravaganza is a great way to celebrate the successes of your team, especially if you end up picking up one of the coveted gongs.
