CIH teams up with ITN Productions to present new film
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) has partnered with ITN Productions to create a flagship industry news-style programme ‘Close to Home: Housing and Communities’.
Presented by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky, the programme will explore the issues surrounding the ongoing housing crisis in the UK, highlight the innovative approaches being taken by councils and housing associations to provide homes and support people and champion the vital role of CIH in driving standards and skills within the housing sector.
Drawing upon ITN’s 60-year heritage and expertise in storytelling, the film will combine interviews and reports with sponsored editorial profiles from leading organisations and will premiere at Housing 2019 in June.
CIH chief executive Terrie Alafat CBE said: “We’re really pleased to be working with ITN Productions again to explore the partnerships that are really making an impact in housing – whether they’re tackling homelessness, improving health, supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse or boosting standards in the private rented sector. We’ll be showcasing the vital work that housing professionals do to create a future in which everyone has a place to call home.”
Elizabeth Fisher-Robins, head of industry news at ITN Productions, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Chartered Institute of Housing to create ‘Close to Home: Housing and Communities’. We hope this programme highlights the important work being done to meet the ongoing challenges faced by the housing industry and highlights the critical role CIH plays in keeping housing on the political agenda and their ongoing commitment to improve and influence the sector.”
