Cloch Housing Association in line for graduate apprenticeship in accountancy
Cloch Housing Association, in partnership with Oak Tree Housing Association, is set to become the first company registered for a brand new Graduate Apprenticeship Framework run by Glasgow Caledonia University.
The Graduate Apprenticeship will allow someone to work with Cloch’s Shared Finance Service as a Finance Assistant while gaining a Masters’ Degree in Accountancy, in addition to becoming a Chartered Accountant (ACCA qualified).
The job is salaried and the cost of the Masters Degree is paid for through the Skills Development Scotland Graduate Apprenticeship scheme. The successful candidate will also be given study time of circa one day per week for attending University and having allocated study time.
The Accountancy Framework is new and it starts in January 2022, although Cloch are currently recruiting for the post now. The salary is being jointly funded by Cloch and Oak Tree Housing Associations and the joint project will ensure that the Graduate Apprentice will have a lot of scope to learn across a wide range of financial services.
Alana Durnin, finance director at Oak Tree with responsibility for the shared service, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to someone. We are ideally looking for someone who has some experience of working within a finance team, but now wants to take it further and we know we can offer the person a great start to their accountancy career.”
The job pack can be downloaded from Cloch or Oak Tree’s website and the application closing date is 20th October 2021.
