Clyde Valley Group welcomes new directors
The Clyde Valley Group has announced the appointment of two new directors who have joined its leadership team to help drive the organisation’s ambitions for the future.
Joining in February 2018, in the role of customer services director, Kirsty Morrison will lead the delivery of Customer Service excellence across the organisation. Kirsty’s portfolio includes housing services, factoring and a range of corporate services.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Housing with a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing, Kirsty has worked in a variety of senior roles. Until joining Clyde Valley Housing Association (CVHA) she was head of customer services at River Clyde Homes and led the £26 million Broomhill regeneration project as well as a review of caretaking and environmental services. Prior to this Kirsty was responsible for community safety and welfare and debt advice services at City of Edinburgh Council.
New finance director, Carron Garmory, joined in March 2018, and is leading the Group’s Finance and IT functions. Carron’s appointment has followed the retirement of finance director Shirley MacDonald. Shirley recently secured CVHA’s £70m private placement to support its new housing supply programme prior to her departure.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Carron was most recently group finance director at Our Power, a start-up, not-for-profit, energy-supply company founded by social housing organisations. Her expertise in raising social funding finance from trusts and foundations includes a £4.5m Social Purpose bond, the largest of its kind for social enterprise across the UK.
Her previous roles include senior positions in charitable organisations, focusing on both strategic and operational finance, fundraising, regeneration of communities and performance improvements.
Lynn Wassell, chief executive at CVHA, said: “Kirsty and Carron both have an outstanding track record and the passion to ensure we deliver the best customer experience. They are joining the team at an exciting time, as we work with our Boards on new business development and growth and engage our people and stakeholders in our future direction.”
