Clydebank Housing Association appoints Lynette Lees as new chief executive
Clydebank Housing Association has announced the appointment of Lynette Lees as its new chief executive following the imminent departure of Sharon Keenan after 35 years’ service.
Ms Lees brings a wealth of career experience and has been the Association’s head of finance & corporate services these last three years.
Making the announcement, Kimberley Tennant, chair of Clydebank Housing Association, said: “Although the management committee will miss Sharon and the commitment that she has shown to the Association and its tenants, we are delighted to confirm Lynette as our next chief executive.
“She stood out from within a very strong field of applicants and I am confident that she will continue to further develop our advantaged position in terms of governance, finances, structure and new build development, which Sharon has augmented during her tenure. The committee is very much looking forward to continuing its productive and successful working partnership with Lynette for many years to come.”
Ms Lees added: “I am delighted to have been confirmed as Clydebank’s new chief executive, to build on Sharon’s excellent achievements during her time in the role. This is an exciting career move for me and I am looking forward to working with the committee and staff team in leading Clydebank to ever better things in the years to come.
“It is a privilege to lead a well-respected organisation that recognises the fundamental right to a good quality, affordable home and has such a strong focus on delivering this for individuals, families and communities.”
Sharon commented that her time at CHA has been happy and memorable and she is proud of the Association’s achievements and unwavering commitment to high standards of service whilst ensuring that rents remain affordable for tenants.
She added: “Lynette’s appointment is fantastic for the organisation. She has been a key member of the senior staff team for 14 years and I am certain that her knowledge, professionalism and financial expertise, which has been integral to the success of the Association thus far, will continue through to this appointment.”
