Commitment to employees recognised at Aberdeenshire Housing Partnership
Aberdeenshire Housing Partnership (AHP) has been awarded the internationally recognised Investors in People Silver Accreditation.
The award comes after careful consideration of AHP’s practices, values and objectives regarding the way the organisation looks after its people. It represents a true commitment to employees, and reflects that AHP adheres to the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures in people management.
Chief executive Colin Hawkins said he was delighted with the recognition: “This IIP Award is an important statement about how we as an employer look after our staff. It also very much reflects the values we hold as an organisation in the way the engage with all our stakeholders. The board and senior management team feel that this will help us retain and recruit quality staff.”
Investors in People is the most successful framework for business improvement through people in the UK. Research has demonstrated that Investors in People accredited organisations are more sustainable and more optimistic about the future.
Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, said: “This is an excellent achievement for which I would like to congratulate AHP and their people. In having supported AHP for many years with their people management, it is encouraging to see the organisation’s commitment to their people and to continually see them improve upon their processes. I hope that more organisations will be encouraged to sharpen their competitive edge by choosing to work with us.”
