Community Access Defibrillator installed at Blairtummock Housing Association
Blairtummock Housing Association has installed a Community Access Defibrillator outside its Easterhouse office.
The equipment is available to anyone who needs it in an emergency.
With many people affected by cardiac arrest Blairtummock said it is important that the community has this life saving equipment on hand to make a difference.
On calling 999 for emergency assistance the caller will be directed to the box at 45 Boyndie Street and given codes to access it.
Blairtummock Housing Association chairperson, Margaret Pirrie, said she hopes that the defibrillator can help to save lives.
Margaret added: “The committee are very happy to make this investment in our community. We feel that if a single life can be saved as a result of this then it will be money well spent. We are grateful to British Heart Foundation for their contribution to help us purchase our defibrillator.”
