This year’s Scottish Housing Day on 18 September 2019 recognised the importance of establishing ‘Housing as a Human Right’.

Cruden Homes West has chosen to support this year’s theme by donating to housing and homelessness charity, Shelter Scotland.

Over the weekend leading up to Scottish Housing Day, Cruden Homes committed to donating £100 to Shelter Scotland for every new home reservation they received on their housing developments in the West of Scotland.

The housebuilder generously donated £1,000 as a result of reservations taken that weekend on their current developments in Glasgow – King’s View, Laburnum Lea, Garscadden Grove and the newly launched Cathkin View.

Liz Mallon, sales and marketing director for Cruden Homes, said: “We really wanted to get behind this year’s Scottish Housing Day theme and highlight the ‘Housing as a Human Right’ campaign by supporting Shelter Scotland’s work to support those affected by bad housing or homelessness.

“Our new customers were also delighted to be able to support Shelter Scotland, knowing that by reserving their new home they were also contributing with this donation which will help Shelter Scotland in their efforts to ensure everyone has a safe, affordable home to live in.”
