This initiative, running from 18th–29th November, aims to provide comfort and support amidst rising costs and reduced Winter Fuel Payments.

Each basket includes:

• Tinned soup, chocolates, biscuits, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.
• A flask, hot water bottle, blanket, socks, gloves, and a hat.
• A shopping voucher for added essentials.

Recipients were selected fairly using a random number generator, proportioned by area.

The Association said it hopes these winter warmer baskets help bring some warmth and cheer this time of year.
