Representatives from the Saltcoats Sea Queen Festival Committee have been presented with a cheque in the amount of £1,000 by Janet Strang, chairperson of Cunninghame Housing Association (CHA).

Isabella Salvona of the Festival Committee said: “The donation from one of the main sponsors, Cunninghame Housing Association, secured the future of the Festival and allowed plans to progress for the main event in July.”

In closing, Isabella thanked the Board of Management of CHA for their donation and their continued support.

Ms Strange said: “The Association is committed to supporting local organisations who work hard to bring an event such as the Sea Queen Festival to Saltcoats each year. It is an exceptional event which encourages young people to take an active interest in their local communities.”
