Cunninghame Housing Association’s chief executive wins top award for excellence
Cunninghame Housing Association chief executive, Frank Sweeney, has won CIH Scotland’s prestigious ‘Exceptional Contribution by a CIH Member Excellence Award’ in recognition of his “outstanding commitment” to the profession.
The award, presented at the annual ceremony held in Glasgow November 11, highlights “outstanding professional achievement and individual personal contribution” by a CIH member working in the housing industry.
According to CIH Scotland: “The winner of this award will have demonstrated a professional commitment to their organisation or the communities they work in. They will have made an outstanding commitment to their profession. The award winner will be an inspirational role model for those working within the housing sector and embracing the ethics and professional standards underpinning CIH membership.”
Commenting on the award, Frank Sweeney said: “As the chief executive of Cunninghame Housing Association and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, I am delighted to have won the Excellence Award in this the Institutes centenary year.”
Janet Strang, chair of Cunninghame Housing Association, said: “The Board of Management is absolutely delighted that our chief executive, Frank Sweeney, has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Housing for his professionalism, commitment and personal contribution to the Housing profession. This is a tremendous achievement, especially so given that at the awards ceremony, the presenter announced that this was the first time ever in this award category that the recipient had scored the maximum perfect 10 in all of the award criteria from all of the judges.”
Esther Wilson, vice-chair of CIH Scotland, added: “Frank is clearly a dedicated and committed housing professional who has made an exceptional contribution over a long career. He clearly provides exceptional leadership within his organisation and is a worthy winner of this award.”
