Cunninghame sponsors local Young Community Champion of the Year Award
Cunninghame Housing Association proudly sponsored the Young Community Champion of the Year Award at the Dumfries and Galloway Life Awards 2023.
In a heartwarming moment at Easterbrook Hall on November 10th, those in attendance witnessed the recognition of a remarkable young leader, Edward Ryan, as he was presented the award by Scott Mould of Cunninghame Housing Association.
Edward selflessly dedicated a portion of his school holidays when creating a short film that showcased the vibrant essence of the A’ The Arts community art centre in Sanquhar. His film not only highlighted the physical space but also captured the spirit of inclusivity by engaging individuals of all ages and abilities.
What makes Edward’s achievement even more commendable is his genuine commitment to serving as a volunteer guide at the centre. Through his voluntary work, Edward not only promotes the arts but also actively contributes to a sense of togetherness and appreciation for creativity among community members. His efforts not only bring recognition to Sanquhar but also instil a sense of pride and unity among its residents.
A spokesperson for Cunninghame said it takes immense pride in recognising and supporting the efforts of individuals like Edward who embody the spirit of community service and leadership.
The spokesperson added: “As an organisation committed ‘Making Our Communities Better Places’, we believe in empowering and celebrating young people like Edward who play a key role in shaping the future of communities.
“Cunninghame Housing Association extends our heartfelt congratulations to Edward Ryan for his well-deserved recognition as the Young Community Champion of the Year.”
