Cunninghame welcomes honour for ‘outstanding’ tenant participation
Cunninghame Housing Association is celebrating after its community engagement & participation officer Ian Macpherson was awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution to Tenant Participation (Housing Staff)’ at the TIS National Excellence Awards.
The award, sponsored by the Scottish Government, recognises Ian’s exceptional dedication and commitment to advancing tenant participation practices within the housing sector.
Cunninghame said that Ian’s achievements reflect his passion for enhancing tenant participation within the housing sector. His innovative strategies, coupled with a profound understanding of tenants’ wants and needs, have set a benchmark for excellence in fostering meaningful engagement between housing staff and tenants.
Jaqueline Cameron, executive director of housing and property services, expressed admiration for Ian’s accomplishment and said the award serves as a testament to his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to driving positive change within the housing sector.
“I am delighted that Ian has won this prestigious award,” she added. “He has gone above and beyond in providing tenant engagement services in Cunninghame over many years, committing much of his own time to building our relationship with local communities and empowering tenant groups. This accolade also reflects the fantastic support from our tenant and resident volunteers who dedicate their own precious time to ensuring CHA’s services meet their needs and aspirations.”
