Dalmuir Park Housing Association appoints Anne Marie Brown as chief executive
Anne Marie Brown has been appointed as the new chief executive of Dalmuir Park Housing Association.
Ms Brown is currently the director at Craigdale Housing Association in Castlemilk but she will take up her new role in January 2020.
For Ms Brown, the appointment is something of a homecoming, having been brought up in West Dunbartonshire and then spending most of her working life there.
She has been at Craigdale for almost five and a half years. Prior to that, she spent 20 years at Dunbritton Housing Association in Dumbarton - latterly as depute director.
Ms Brown said: “I’m delighted to be taking up my new role and look forward to working with the excellent Dalmuir Park team in continuing to take the Association forward. It is an exciting time to be joining Dalmuir Park as we face the future together with renewed confidence and delivering on the commitments we have made to the Dalmuir Park community.
“As someone who was born and bred in West Dunbartonshire, it is very much a homecoming for me and I look forward to starting my new role in January. I also want to pay tribute to the staff and board of Craigdale who do such magnificent work in Castlemilk. It has been a privilege to work with them over the last five and a half years and I wish them well.”
Anne Marie will succeed interim director Catherine Lowe who has been in the post for almost two years.
Welcoming Ms Brown, Gordon Laurie, chair of Dalmuir Park Housing Association, said: “We are looking forward to Anne Marie joining our team as our new leader for the Association. I believe we are now well-positioned to build on the significant work of DPHA in the community of Dalmuir. This will ensure that all our tenants and customers have high-quality affordable housing and related services in a vibrant local community.”
