David Mackenzie named Link Housing’s new managing director
Link Housing, part of the Link group of companies, has recruited David Mackenzie as its new managing director.
Mr Mackenzie, who will join Link Housing this September following his role as CEO of Craigdale Housing Association, will succeed June Green who announced her plans to retire last month.
John Flaherty, Link Housing chair, said: “On behalf of the board, I am delighted to make this announcement and look forward to working with David when he joins us later this year.
“From an extremely strong candidate pool, David’s wealth of skills and experience, alongside his strong focus on making a difference to tenants’ lives, shone through.
“David will have the full support of the Board as he leads Link Housing in this exciting next chapter.”
Mr Mackenzie’s recruitment is another important milestone during a period of significant growth for Link, which, following a successful tenant ballot, welcomed the Weslo Housing Management team and tenants into Link last month – making it one of the largest and most geographically diverse social housing organisations in the country.
David Mackenzie commented: “I am thrilled to be recruited as Link Housing’s new managing director and look forward to joining the passionate team at Link during such an exciting period for the organisation.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to lead one of the country’s foremost housing and support teams during a time where our customers need us most.
“I look forward to progressing Link’s vision and working with the team to deliver fantastic services to people and communities across Scotland.”
Link Housing is part of Link’s people and communities division, which provides housing and support services to over 12,500 customers across Scotland.
Sarah Smith, Link Group director of communities, added: “I am delighted to welcome David to Link and greatly look forward to working with him.
“As we continue to support our communities through the ongoing pandemic, the services we provide are more important than ever before. David’s breadth of experience in the housing and care sectors will be instrumental to ensuring we continue to provide first class services to people across Scotland.”
