DMDesign donates to LinkLiving facility in Fife
Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom specialists DMDesign donated a kitchen and appliances to help facilitate a range of courses for LinkLiving service users in Kircaldy including ‘cooking on a budget’, in partnership with Greener Kirkcaldy.
Part of the Link Group, LinkLiving Ltd is a non-profit charity which provides services to 10,000 families and individuals across 26 Scottish local authority areas.
It currently offers services in Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, Fife, and Falkirk, dedicating over 2,500 hours a week of practical support, as well as advice and care to 400 vulnerable adults and young people.
Speaking after the first session in the new facility, Connor Webster, course participant said: “It was a great way to be introduced to others within the building as I did not know anyone in the area. I also enjoyed getting to know about other things that Greener Kirkcaldy does in the surrounding area.”
Jacqueline Nugent, LinkLiving service delivery manager, said: “A huge thank you to DMDesign for this fantastic donation. This is a very welcome addition to the range of support we can offer the people who use our services. We already have loads of ideas in the pipeline.”
Donald McLeod, managing director of DM Design, said: “LinkLiving is all about improving lives, and if we can help in any way, we are delighted to do so. It’s been wonderful to be able to help others by doing our every-day work of supplying kitchens to fit any space – and we can’t wait to see how LinkLiving, and the people they help, make use of the kitchen going forward.”
