Drone footage showcases progress of £300m Candleriggs Square redevelopment

New drone footage, shot by contractor GRAHAM, shows the progress made on the regeneration of Drum Property Group’s Candleriggs Square in Glasgow’s Merchant City district.
The video provides a bird’s eye view of the project, offering a sneak preview of the work completed on the £300 million phased development to date.
GRAHAM was appointed by Drum as one of the contractors who would deliver the phased regeneration scheme, which has seen the construction of a 17-storey structure that includes 346 build-to-rent residential units, of studio, one- two- and three-bedroom properties, as well as six duplex penthouse apartments.
The Candleriggs Square development is a major regeneration project that will see the creation of a vibrant new neighbourhood in the heart of Glasgow. The development will include a mix of residential, commercial, and retail space, as well as a new public square and landscaping.
The build-to-rent project is set to complete in summer 2024.
Gary Homes, GRAHAM regional managing director, said: “This new footage shows the progress made at this once-in-a-generation redevelopment within Glasgow’s historic Merchant City. The Candleriggs Square development is a transformative project for Glasgow, and we are proud of the progress we have made to date.”
