Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership helps Stranraer get festive
Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) has helped the Stranraer community get festive after donating £200 to support a Christmas family fun day.
Over 200 people turned up to the event on 11 December, where they took part in face painting, meet the mascots, decorate your own cupcake and visited Santa’s Grotto.
It was part of a series of ten Christmas events organised and delivered by the Community Reuse shop for locals of all ages.
Alison Lamont, head of housing at DGHP, said: “We were delighted to support the Community Reuse shop to deliver this fantastic event.
“It was great to see the local community coming together and people having fun in the lead up to Christmas.”
Wilma White, shop manager at Community Reuse Shop, added: “All our events were a huge success; we were delighted and amazed by the support from the local community. This year more than ever families have been more reliant on these free events, and we are grateful to organisations like DGHP who kindly support them.”
