Dundee and Angus empty homes project shortlisted for award
A joint Dundee City Council and Angus Council project to bring long-term privately-owned empty homes back into use has been nominated for a national award.
The councils’ shared services empty homes project is shortlisted in the Outstanding Service category at the Howdens Scottish Empty Homes Champions of the Year Awards 2017, the Dundee Evening Telegraph reports.
Shared services empty homes officer Sean Maxwell has also been shortlisted in the Outstanding Individual and Best Use of the Media categories.
The winners will be announced by Housing Minister Kevin Stewart at the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership’s (SEHP) annual conference in Glasgow on 15 November.
