East Dunbartonshire community grants open for applications
From flower power and music in care homes to sports and support for people with additional needs, the Community Grants Scheme is making a difference across East Dunbartonshire.
The latest round of funding is open for applications until 26 April 2024.
Organisations carrying out work at the heart of local communities are being offered the chance to apply for two different awards – a grant of up to £5,000 or a grant of up to £10,000. The maximum, over the course of the year, an organisation can apply for is £15,000.
East Dunbartonshire Council’s Community Grants Scheme regularly supports a huge range of projects – improving the lives of people of all ages.

Councillor Gordan Low, leader of the council, said, “The Community Grants Scheme is one of the main ways we are able to provide funding directly to groups, organisations and projects carrying out vital work locally.
“From youth groups, older people and active travel to horticultural clubs and carers, a wide range of initiatives have been supported in the past. Don’t miss out – visit our website for more information or get in touch.”
The council has allocated support from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
Applications are being invited from groups which:
- Have a constitution
- Have a bank account
- Are not for profit
- Aim to bring benefits to the residents of East Dunbartonshire.
A range of activities can be funded – including start-up costs, special projects, equipment, salaries and running costs.
