East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership chief officer appointed

East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership has appointed Alexis Chappell as its new chief officer.
Ms Chappell was appointed following a robust recruitment and selection process carried out jointly by East Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
She is currently Strategic Director of Adult Care and Wellbeing at Sheffield City Council. She brings 30 years of experience working in health and social care and strategic planning to the role and is looking forward to returning home to Scotland after four years working in Sheffield.
Councillor Katie Pragnell, chair of the Integration Joint Board which governs the HSCP, said: “Alexis is very well placed to take on this challenging role and members of the IJB are looking forward to working with her.’
Steven Quinn, chief executive of East Renfrewshire Council, added: “I am delighted to welcome Alexis as the new Chief Officer of East Renfrewshire HSCP. Her knowledge and experience will be invaluable in this important role and I look forward to working with her as part of the wider Corporate Management Team of East Renfrewshire Council.”

Ms Chappell will take up her new role in due course following the retirement of Julie Murray, East Renfrewshire HSCP’s current chief officer.
