Easterhouse groups submit funding bid for 500 homes
An alliance of eight independent community-controlled housing associations and co-operatives in the east of Glasgow has submitted a major funding bid to Glasgow City Council.
Easterhouse Housing and Regeneration Alliance (EHRA) unites organisations which own own and manage 4,497 houses throughout Greater Easterhouse, supported by 90 local committee members.
EHRA members have now submitted a strategy and development funding bid to help fund plans to build over 500 new homes in the Greater Easterhouse area over the next five years. The alliance said the project would help meet the Scottish Government’s new build target and bring much-needed housing and investment to the community.
