EHRA members meet the minister for housing
Committee members and staff from the Easterhouse Housing and Regeneration Alliance (EHRA), representing seven housing associations in Greater Easterhouse, have met housing minister Paul McLennan to discuss the current challenges facing community-based housing associations.
Members discussed the importance of wider role and partnership working and highlighted the joint projects that EHRA had developed by working together including shared services, joint training, hustings and community events.
Committee members questioned the minister on the housing emergency, the budget for new build homes, the role of tenant committee members and the definition of affordable housing.
The housing minister welcomed the opportunity to meet tenant committee members in Greater Easterhouse and confirmed his support for community-based housing associations.
