Easterhouse Housing and Regeneration Alliance (EHRA) has held its annual quiz night to raise funds for Glasgow North East Foodbank.

EHRA members are also collecting donations of food for the Foodbank during Challenge Poverty Week and organised two showings of I, Daniel Blake to raise awareness of the problems that people can face when they need to claim benefits

Colin Cameron, chairperson of EHRA, said: “It is sad that in such a wealthy country, ordinary working people are driven to foodbanks to help exist.

“North East Foodbank is a terrific organisation providing help and support to people who have run into a bit of bad luck. We wish them every success in their vital work.”
