Eildon celebrates triumph at Scottish Home Awards
Eildon Housing Association has celebrated its nomination in two categories at the Scottish Home Awards, sponsored by Ross & Liddell.
The first award for Small Affordable Housing Development of the Year (social rent) was won by Eildon’s latest development in Roxburgh and Union Street in Kelso, designed by Assist Design.
Chairman Trevor Burrows and director of housing & care Amanda Miller were delighted to receive the award on behalf of the Association.
This very attractive scheme which has been built to Silver Standards and Housing for Varying Needs Part 1, comprises of 18 apartments in a block of six at Union Street and 12 at Roxburgh Street. Thirteen of the flats are two-bed and five provide one-bed accommodation. The total cost of the scheme was £2,364,557 including a grant of £1,169,091 provided by the Scottish Government.
The second award was for ‘Housing Association of the Year’ and Eildon received ‘Highly Commended’ in this category which is a wonderful achievement. The overall award was won by Glasgow Housing Association and Eildon congratulated to them.
