Eildon reflects on successes and says goodbye to Professor Brydon
Eildon Housing Association chairman Trevor Burrows marked the Association’s progress and set out ambitious growth plans for the next few years at the Group’s 43rd AGM this week.
Informing members of the Group’s achievements over the previous year, Mr Burrows also highlighted the overall financial health of the Association and the determination of the Board to ensure that Eildon remains financially strong well into the future.
The AGM saw the election of Martyn Clark to join the Board. Martyn is an Eildon tenant from West Linton and returns to the board following a previous successful term a couple of years ago.
It was also an opportunity to say goodbye to former vice chairman Professor Don Brydon who stepped down from the Board following 12 years of excellent service.
Chairman Burrows said: “Don has proved to be a very effective contributor over the years. He has perfected the habit of soaking up information during a discussion and then intervening with a deceptively straightforward question that goes to the heart of the matter. His dry wit and mischievous sense of humour will be greatly missed.”
