Empty Homes Awards deadline extended
The nominations deadline for the 2025 Scottish Empty Homes Awards has been extended to midday on Friday 31st January.
Celebrating the professionals, members of the public and organisations which have made an outstanding contribution to revitalising empty homes in Scotland, the awards will be presented at the upcoming annual Scottish Empty Homes Conference.
The deadline has been extended to give as many people as possible in the housing sector the chance to have their empty homes work recognised.
Nominations can be submitted through the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership website.
The winners will be announced at the 14th annual Scottish Empty Homes Conference on Tuesday 25th February in Glasgow – tickets are on sale now.
Scottish Empty Homes Partnership National Manager, Tahmina Nizam, said: “There are more than 43,500 empty homes in Scotland, and almost three quarters of those have been empty for more than a year.
“In the context of a housing emergency, bringing those empty homes back into use has never been more important. We want to give has many busy housing professionals as possible the chance to have their vital efforts recognised through the Scottish Empty Homes Awards.
“We can’t wait to celebrate with the winners at our annual conference, where key figures in the sector will come together to share their expert knowledge on bringing empty homes back into use.”
