Esh strengthens reputation with £30m of social housing projects
Esh Border Construction has strengthened its reputation as a high quality social housing developer and contractor with a multi-million pound range of projects across Scotland and northern England.
The construction company, part of Esh Group, has reported recent wins , current projects and recent completions totalling around £30 million.
Operating from offices in Carlisle, Kendal, Earlston and Livingston, the firm has completed social housing projects in Scotland including 18 new houses in Kelso for Eildon Housing Association, an East Lothian Council project for new residential units in Musselburgh and seven new North Berwick bungalows for Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association.
The delivery arm of Esh Construction Ltd has also delivered new kitchens and bathrooms in Newtown St Boswells, three new houses in Earlston, 46 new houses at Stonefield in Hawick and eight new houses at Deanfield in Hawick for Scottish Borders Housing Association.
Esh Border Construction is extending its social housing activity in Scotland after launching its Livingston base earlier this year.
It has further built on its Scottish social housing successes with a recently secured framework to repair and refurbish the extensive housing stock of the City of Edinburgh Council.
The firm was also recently named as finalist at the Scottish Home Awards for its Kelso project with Eildon Housing Association.
Regional managing director of Esh Border Construction, Simon Phillips, said: “Our strong reputation for successful delivery of both new build and refurbishment projects has resulted in some £30m of social housing projects, and we aim to continue growing that further, simultaneously enhancing geographical coverage.
“In taking on these projects, we have utilised our significant experience across a broad spectrum of sectors, including education, retail, industrial, commercial, leisure, public, healthcare, and historic buildings.
“Earlier in the year, we underlined our commitment in Scotland with the opening of new offices in Livingston.
“It’s very gratifying to find that the local authorities and housing associations we work with continue to return to us with new projects, such is their belief in what we do.
“At the heart of what we do is our ever-present community-minded approach; indeed, we pride ourselves on consistently achieving high scores through the Considerate Constructors scheme, and we place a major focus on our Esh Added Value programmes, which all help to make a difference in the communities where we work.”
Earlier this month, Esh Group posted a turnover of £277m for the year ending December 2014.
