The event was attended by pupils form Thornwood, Hyndland primary and Middlefield School.

The children were challenged to see how many laps of the football field they could complete in 6 minutes. Some of the mothers who were attending also joined in and got a medal.

Partick Housing Association said it sees schools as being at the heart of the community and is committed to a long term relationship, supporting various initiatives and activities.

Mark O’Mara, active schools co-ordinator, said: “Our partnership with Partick Housing Association has been a great success. The children are really enjoying the new equipment and sports strips and we look forward to more fantastic events in the future.”
