Fairfield trio join Sleep in the Park
Fairfield Housing Co-operative’s corporate manager Susan Bell, finance officer Joyce Clark and housing officer Helen Ross are the latest housing professionals to sign up to Sleep in the Park in Princess Gardens on December 9.
The event has been organised by Josh Littlejohn, co-founder of Social Bite, to help raise money to eradicate homelessness in Scotland.
The brave trio with the catchy team name of ‘Minus three degrees’ are all keen to help the Social Bite charity with some slight trepidation with temperatures set to plummet over the next week.
Susan said: “The stresses and strains we all have at Christmas time pale into insignificance when you have no roof over your head.”
Joyce continued: “I’m blessed to have never been in that position so it’s giving a tiny bit back.”
Helen added: “Raising awareness for homelessness is a tremendous cause and the sleep out is just the way to do it.”
Grant Ager, Fairfield’s chief executive, said: “We are all as a group hugely proud of the Minus three degrees who have over 40 years housing experience between them and are delighted to support the sleep-out.”
Anyone wishing to support the team and donate to the charity can do so here.
