Community groups urged to bid for funding in Levenmouth Reconnected Small Grants Scheme
Community groups, organisations and businesses are being encouraged to bid for a share of the Levenmouth Reconnected Programme (LRP) £10 million fund, operated by Fife Council.
With the Leven Rail Link due to return in 2024, Levenmouth Reconnected is already working closely with other projects currently operating in the Levenmouth area to maximise the social, health and economic benefits they will bring to coincide with the reinstatement of the railway.
The first round of large grant funding for projects via the LRP Fund has already taken place and we’re sifting through the second round of applications as we speak, with the successful schemes to be revealed later this year.
Projects can apply for funding if they support at least one of the four key programme themes:
- Opportunities for all
- Inclusive jobs and growth
- Thriving places
- Community-led services
Under the Levenmouth Reconnected Programme Fund’s Small Grants Scheme, funding up to £5000 is available to community and voluntary organisations, businesses, public organisations, partnerships, social enterprises, charities and community interest companies.
Phil Clarke, programme manager, said: “Having a range of small projects and initiatives which support the re-opened rail line is crucial for its success, so we welcome applications from groups who wish to be part of this fantastic project.”
Applications can be submitted at any time until the fund closes and, although all projects must be of benefit to the Levenmouth area and within the area’s boundaries, applicants don’t have to be based or live in the area to apply.
Any groups or organisations interested in applying for this funding can find out more and apply online here.
