Homelessness charity Frontline Fife welcomed the Rt Hon. Tricia Marwick as its new patron at its 2016 AGM and Lawrie West as its new chair.

Members at last week’s AGM thanked outgoing chair Joe Doherty for his diligent and good humoured work in chairing Frontline Fife over the last three years. Despite the difficult business environment and declining funding, the organisation had continued to provide high quality services and improve the business systems underpinning these services.

Emeritus Professor Joe Doherty said: “It is fitting to have Tricia Marwick as a patron of the charity given her early career with Shelter, her work as an MSP and her enduring commitment to Fife communities.”

Incoming chair, Lawrie West stated that he hoped to support the organisation in continuing to address the business challenges and maintaining standards for service users. He closed the meeting by thanking those who give of their time as Board Members and volunteers.

He also thanked donors, local communities and staff for their ongoing support to Frontline Fife and its work in preventing homelessness – and providing services and accommodation for homeless people in Fife.
