Fife Housing Group has successfully retained its Investors in People (IIP) Platinum Accreditation.

For over three decades Investors in People has been acknowledged internationally as a leading people accreditation, assessing over 50,000 organisations in 66 different countries. With a framework designed to help leaders, employees and companies work together to create an effective environment, the Platinum Award represents a true commitment to best practice and a recognition that investing in people is not only the right thing to do but also essential to deliver sustainable results.

The Platinum status is a three-year accreditation that sits alongside the group’s Investors in People (IIP) ‘We invest in wellbeing’ Gold award, which it achieved last February in recognition of its commitment to colleagues’ wellbeing and mental health.

Colleagues from across the organisation were involved in achieving this accreditation, including their ‘Colleague Consultation Group’ (pictured), a group of colleagues elected to represent their respective departments when dealing with the group’s strategic aims.

Alex Tweedie, who represents the housing team on the group, said: “Preparing for our IIP assessment was a great experience. I learned a lot and it allowed me to connect with people from across the organisation who I don’t work with regularly.

“All of the hard work paid off and I am proud to be part of an organisation that has achieved this accreditation as it represents how much Fife Housing Group values its colleagues, tenants and other stakeholders.”

Commenting on the award Chief Executive, Nicki Donaldson, added: “We are thrilled to have achieved Platinum status again.

“This important accreditation recognises our understanding that our colleagues are our most valuable asset and acknowledges our commitment to supporting and developing the people and teams within the organisation who make a difference for our tenants and customers every day.

“We’re very proud to be one of the few Housing Associations to have achieved and retained IIP Platinum status and we will continue to build upon this achievement in the coming years.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Fife Housing Group. Platinum accreditation on ‘We invest in people’ is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Fife Housing Group in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
