Final views sought on 53 new homes at Murrayburn Gate
A second consultation has will open this week into proposals for a residential development on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council at Murrayburn Gate, Wester Hailes.
Situated on vacant brownfield land close to Wester Hailes train station and Westside Plaza Shopping Centre, the development will deliver much needed new-build affordable housing in the capital and is part of the wider regeneration of Wester Hailes area.
A proposal of application notice was submitted to the council in November for the proposed flats with associated infrastructure and landscaping, which have been designed by ema architecture.
The consultation will be led by Robertson Partnership Homes (RPH), which was appointed to deliver the 53 new homes at Murrayburn Gate, through the council’s House Builder Framework in September.
The developer will hold a live and interactive web-based consultation on March 16 between 3pm and 7pm.
Subject to the second consultation event and further discussions with the City of Edinburgh Council, it is proposed a detailed planning application will be submitted in the spring.
