First brick laid for new Partick development
Baillie Liz Cameron laid the first brick of a £6.5 million development by Partick Housing Association which will be completed next year.
The housing association is making a departure from its traditional high-density flatted accommodation by building 14 three-bedroom social-rented town houses, 18 two-bedroom mid-market rent flats and a 14-unit support accommodation facility.
Cameron was accompanied by new PHA chief executive Stewart MacKenzie as she celebrated the official start of construction on the range of new homes.
The development, located on the former Broomlea School site, is expected to be completed in Spring 2016.
